Reseña del libro "Live Humbly, Serve Graciously: Reflections on Baptism, Mission and Service (en Inglés)"
Live Humbly, Serve Graciously is a collection of two dozen reflections on baptism, mission and service. Each, in some way, relates to the prayer, The Mission of My Life, written by John Henry Cardinal Newman, which begins, "God has created me to do Him some definite service...I have my mission." The reflections were inspired by homilies, Sacred Scripture, prayers from the Book of Christian Prayer, meditations from a Catholic periodical, or other books or persons with whom the author was blessed to intersect. Several were inspired by current events and political discourse, and in several cases life situations involving the author and his family - still others, on a theme from the author's first book, Some Practical Lessons in Leadership. As Catholics, our journey begins with baptism when we are anointed priest, prophet and king. Fulfilling those responsibilities requires a life-long dedication to serving others as Jesus taught. This book is informed by the author's experiences, but is rooted in his faith, and was written by a believer who wishes to share the heart of his life - a loving God who filled us with life from the first moment of conception. It is about the mystery of sacrifice and service; the power of humility and love. Email: jtarmbru@bellsouth.net
