This volume provides teachers with basic knowledge about the phenomenon of conspiracy myths. In the theoretical part, central terms are explained, historical references are made and explanatory approaches, mechanisms of action and empirical findings are presented. The practical part of the book describes sensitization, basic knowledge and lesson planning as the three building blocks for dealing with conspiracy myths. Als verfuhrerische Antworten auf komplexe Fragen dringen sie gerade in Krisenzeiten in die Alltagskommunikation ein, vergiften mit ihren Freund-Feind-Bildern das Meinungsklima und gefahrden so das demokratische Zusammenleben. In diesem Band wird den padagogisch Tatigen Grundlagenwissen zum Phanomen Verschworungsmythen vermittelt. Im Theorieteil werden dazu zentrale Begriffe erlautert, historische Bezuge hergestellt und Erklarungsansatze, Wirkungsmechanismen sowie empirische Befunde dargestellt. Im Praxisteil werden die drei Bausteine Sensibilisierung, Basiswissen und Unterrichtsplanung im Umgang mit Verschworungsmythen beschrieben.
