Offered a screen test, soon thereafter she was cast in a movie with Rock Hudson. More films followed with stars Glenn Ford, Errol Flynn, Gregory Peck, and so on. When she met the love of her life, her "Tesoro" as she called him; the yo-yo relationship lasted a few years, then he left her for another star, a younger woman, beautiful and talented. Gia was deeply hurt and never recovered from her loss, and the humiliation.
