Now, it is your turn to set aside a special place in your house for peaceful reflection. Sacred space is a wonderful gift I believe each person should provide for themselves and share with others in the home. Your pets will even enjoy the loving and holy feeling of your personal spot. It will become your special haven that reinforces your commitment to sit and meditate, pray, or reflect; feeling the richness of the energy and uplifting vibrations you are creating. Over time, you will begin to notice how pleasantly different this special space feels from the rest of your house. This sacred space will give you a place to go and surrender your daily concerns and eventually receive a true sense of peace and possibilities. Science has proven time and time again that everything is energy and we collect it throughout our day from multiple sources; people, buildings, clothing, etc. It affects our health, moods, and so much more. Think about the range of emotions you feel on any given day. Happy, sad, annoyed, disappointed, frustrated, the list goes on and on. You are affected by the people in your home (Or lack of people), work environment, traffic, and the people you run into just living life. If you are not careful, you can unwittingly become an emotional sponge. Constantly collecting the emotional waste of others. This is one of the reasons I am so adamant about having a place within your home where you can go to release the emotional/spiritual "trash" and reconnect with the peaceful loving energy of the Divine and all of their helpers. (i.e. Your spirit guides, angels, etc.) One of the first things you want to do when you are ready to utilize your personal sacred space is to be sure you are physically clean of any residue you may have picked up throughout your day or if you are doing your meditation/prayers in the morning before you start your day. A basic and simple ritual I recommend to my clients is taking a bath or shower when you walk in the door from work or other activity that creates stress in your life. A bath or shower is the perfect way to reset your thinking and how you when feel. And allows you to start your evening minus the chaotic feeling of the previous hours of your day. Give it a try and notice how different you feel. This book is full of ideas to help you create a magical and marvelous space for true peace of mind and unexpected blessings.
