Beauty for Freedom (BFF) is an award-winning non-profit organization headquartered in New York City that exists to empower survivors of human trafficking and at-risk youth through creative expression and art therapy in the USA and abroad. BFF provides free, quality arts education for survivors and at-risk youth that enables them to discover new talents, interests, and strengths while their recovery and reintegration process are underway. Our programming goals are to empower the youth we serve to see themselves as established artists instead of survivors or victims. The photography workshops facilitated and instructed by BFF helped the children focus on a community portrait of Winneba, Ghana. The "Illuminate Ghana" photography book is a culmination of their work.Proceeds will provide funds to Winneba, Ghana based non-profit Challenging Heights and our Beauty for Freedom travel abroad arts therapy programming.
