Men of Integrity, written by Aaron Porter, is a powerful yet intimate work of the heart aimed at men of today's era. Whether you are 24 or 74, any man could benefit from the ideas and insights. The book is a matter-of-fact accounting of his boyhood and broken manhood, which led him, along with many men like him, into a life of violence, crime, infidelity, and eventually prison. He explains the brokenness of society and how that leads young men to acquire the "wrong expectations of God" and, out of disillusionment, begin to act out and live life according to their own rules and their know-how. "Men of Integrity" is a plea for men to take off the masks of false manhood and take accountability for their lives. For any man who has found his life has become full of lies about drug abuse, violence, or infidelity, this book offers a blueprint, a way out, but also a way to live through Jesus Christ and thrive in life as you move forward. Porter skillfully weaves his personal history, philosophy, and the scriptures to tell of his life and offer a way out for suffering men. Any man who reads this book cannot honestly ask the questions that Porter puts to the reader without deeply examining his psyche and soul. If Porter made one thing clear, it is that the lessons in the book are a map toward wisdom, and wisdom is only possible through Christ. I believe it is the highest truth in the book.
