The Old Palm City Mapp Road Improvements advance a community vision of a new urban main street while managing flooding and water quality within the existing right of way. The proposed roadway section for Mapp Road utilizes innovative stormwater management within a multi-way boulevard, which provides increased capacity, shared bike lanes, local access lanes or frontage road with shared space for parking, and sidewalks. This critical community project incorporates stormwater management features that will minimize polluted runoff to the St. Lucie River and estuary.
