We the people, as the most accomplished and blessed race, must take up this challenge. This book is an effort to effort to empower a commoner to have a broad view of the threats and vulnerabilities he/she faces and take actions individually and collectively to prevent and mitigate disasters. For this purpose, a human should be trained formally from the 'school-going' stage and informally through community awareness programmers. This book is expected to be useful to every one, especially the students, the teachers and infact, every human.
