To hear Donna O'Day tell the story, her future looks bleak. And lonely, for sure. Her lover is dead, and she has had to part with her beloved muscle car. And if that isn't enough, her successful son in Chicago may as well live on Mars for all that they speak to each other nowadays. To top all of this off, she's never been able to catch the elusive green flash of a sunset over the Gulf, no matter how hard she has tried. Cats and wine are a big part of Donna's life nowadays, and, as much as she loves them both, she can't help but wonder if there is something other than Merlot and meows to look forward to on long nights under the palms. Then just like magic three women from Donna's past show up, bringing memories, laughter and tears and leaving her with glittery hope for a new love and another chance to see those sunsets of orange and green.
