Christ taught anywhere, anytime, and anyone. He taught at a moment's notice and at a predetermined time and location. Christ taught individuals, small groups, and large crowds. Christ also utilized visual aids, made use of comparisons and contrasts, and asked questions to those He taught. This book, Teaching Others As Christ Taught, asserts that Christ is the world's most effective teacher. Christ lived what He taught and expects believers to do the same. In addition, Christ commands the faithful to teach the lost and unsaved about Him, and provides a model for doing so. Christ's model for spiritual instruction can be applied in secular teaching. Teaching Others As Christ Taught examines Christ's teaching methodology and discusses the parables contained in three gospels: Matthew, Mark, and Luke. Allegories, not parables, are usually associated with the Gospel of John. To teach as Christ taught, believers should be able to instruct individuals and groups spontaneously, informally, and effectively. Their message to the unsaved should convict the hearer, compel them to action, and lead to their eternal salvation. The indwelling power of the Holy Spirit empowers believers to accomplish the work Christ assigned to them and the church.
