The Chronological Qur'an has successfully tackled one of the greatest challenges that comes from reading and attempting to understand the Qur'an by establishing a timeline that is missing from most readily available bookstore Qur'an. This is accomplished by rearranging the Suras to coincide with the events in the life of the Prophet Muhammad at the time the specific Revelations were revealed to him and the order in which they were given. Whether the reader is Muslim, non-Muslim, layman or scholar, this greatly aids in comprehension. And with the added footnotes accompanying many of the Suras, one can accurately understand what was happening in the Prophet's life when a particular Sura was revealed. The addition of Hadith references opens up the Qur'an in ways not available without those references and give a tremendous background so essential in the understanding the Qur'an and the Prophet. Additionally, in this "Amplified Translation," the definitions of words are listed right in the text so there is no need to go to a second source and look them up. This clarification greatly aids in understanding the text, especially if the reader's primary language is not English. Finally! An easily understood Qur'an!
