Reseña del libro "We Are the Question + the Answer: Break the Collective Habit of Racism + Build Resilience for Racial Equity in Ourselves and Our Organizations (en Inglés)"

Dr. Atyia Martin shares lessons and strategies for advancing racial equity and social justice by changing our individual and organizational habits. We are the Question + the Answer, as a title, acknowledges that we are still struggling so deeply with racism in our lives and organizations because we do not see ourselves as part of the problem and the solution. Many of us talk about dismantling the system of racism, but we are all part of the system we are trying to change. Changing the system means changing ourselves. Each of us can opt out of being passive conductors of racism and oppression and opt in to being proactive disruptors. This book was born out of sadness and hope. Sadness that most of us do not take personal or organizational responsibility for our role in the system of racism. People and organizations have rendered themselves as bystanders to racism despite our overt and covert behavior that stealthily and steadily fuels the system of racism. We seem to not be able to dismount the treadmill of racial oppression. It is comforting in its rhythmic predictability, structure, and expectations even though many of us at least suspect that there must be more to life, to ourselves, and to each other. This book helps us to reframe our understanding of racism so we can expand our landscape of action. To learn more about the book visit WeAretheQuestion.com.
